Postdoctoral Fellow in Social and Emotional Learning Research
Eva Oberle has joined the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Research Group at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the Department of Psychology, as part of her postdoctoral research program from 2014-2016. Previously, she completed her doctorate in educational psychology and human development research at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Her main research interests are in promoting positive developmental trajectories throughout middle childhood and adolescence. Her research investigates the role of adult support for positive youth development at home, school, and in children’s neighborhoods. She is also interested in the promotion of social and emotional skills and academic achievement through intervention programs, including the link between social and emotional competence and academic achievement.
